As salaamu Alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatahu Welcome to the third day of my new series Called Reflections In sha Allah we ll try to reflect on the meaning of ayat number 29 of surah baqrah So Wat is Allah saying in this ayat He is talking about creations of the heavenly bodies and he is talking about himself being its creator....... Again, the first thing to reflect is Wat were we talking about in the previous ayat?? He was talking about some other creation? Wat creation?? The creation of human beings! How does he connect that creation to that of the heavenly bodies??? Why does he hav to say this?? He has to say this now Because He wants us to realize that he created us and then for us He created these heavenly bodies!!!!!! So, in a way, he is making us feel indebted by his blessings! Read the previous ayat He shows us his first blessing that he gave us life Nahi to we were just dead spirits!!!!!!! But he gav us life!! Thats a huge blessing in itself And then to sustain that life he has given us numerous blessings And that is exactly Wat he said in this ayat!!! He created the earth for us and all that is in it Including all the minerals, the water, the atmosphere, the flora and fauna, absolutely everything For whom?? For us!!! Ok lets move on... So, a point to note again is that, wen he says he created the earth He means he created everything to sustain it ( the earth) as well I mean, the earth is there at its place because of the forces which acts on it U kno like, its distance from sun,and the like I dont want to go into much scientific details at this point But this is true We need to appreciate the delicate intricacies that God has put in the creation of the heavenly bodies!!!! And why all this?? Just to support our existence!!!!! Every thing is created for us! So that we....... We may learn lessons Lessons like?? We shd appreciate his power, his might, his potential We shd be humble and indebted infront of him, because of these blessings and that shd be shown in prayers We shd never be proud Because he has created sooo many things which are far more advanced, far more Strong, far more bigger than us!!!!!!!!!!! One more thing I want us all to notice is that He has described the creation of earth and THEN the creation of heavens! Now suppose u were to make a building Wat wd u make first.... The ground floor or the top floor???? Ofcourse the ground floor first!! Wat is this ground floor?? ⬇ This earth!! And Wat is the top floor?? ⬇ Heaven And above that?? Is another heaven And above that is another heaven and above that is yet another So Wat is he describing?? He is describing each floor was created one above the other!!!!!!!! Starting from the ground floor first till the top most floor and who is above the top floor?? He himself Which he describes next!!!!!! (Dont u want to say Subhanallah!!!!) Okay So I ll just quote the ayat for all of us again He it is Who created for you all that is in the earth, and He directed Himself to the heaven, so He made them complete seven heavens, and He knows all things. So we understood the part about the creation of the heavens and earth Now Wat else is Allah saying in this ayat?? He says he turned towards it Or something to that effect Because Istawa has been translated differently by different people Wat I understand by this verse is that........ He made everything and then declared himself, the master and sustainer of it all !!! So he took its maintainace and management and everything in his hands! (please dont take the word hand literally!!! ) And ofcourse someone who is looking after something Like an incharge of sthg Has to kno Wats going on U Kno thats why we hav cctv s To kno if everyone is Doing Wat theyre supposed to be doing and to ensure everything is going fine !! So he concludes the ayat by saying ....... he is All-Knower ⬇ That he made himself the incharge of Everything, and being an incharge, he knows everything about every one !!!!!!
