As some of you know, Abighaile got pretty sick last weekend, culminating in stomach surgery Thursday at Morristown. She is home now and resting, and doing just great. It was a long week, but we really want to thank our families and friends for the support. I learned a couple of things this week- One, that although I dont expect us to be perfect parents, we handled a huge hurdle pretty well and came through okay, so I think well be able to get through the little stuff. Two, we are so very, very blessed. We were able to come home with a baby who will be right as rain in a couple days. My heart aches for the other parents I saw this week whose children will be hospitalized much longer with much more serious issues. It makes me feel even luckier than I did before, and thats saying a lot. Please say a prayer of thanks for our healthy little one, and a prayer of good wishes for those other families.
