As someone that lives with depression, i am especially saddened by the news of Robin Williams passing. Depression played a large role in the loss of my brother last year. there are others i could list .... i think you get the point. the stigma associated with and the lack of understanding of depression make it an especially difficult disease to live with. depression does not mean you are all sad and whiny.... for me it often exhibits itself as rage, self doubt and a generally mean disposition. that is the part you see on the outside. on the inside it is mostly just a pain that is indescribable. not sharp and hard, more dull and grinding. this pain ended today for robin williams.... there is nothing any of us can do about that. what we can do is make sure the cycle stops. if you need me i am here. 24/7/365 and yes i honestly shed a few tears typing this. as many of you know i am a pretty tough fella and rarely ask anyone for anything. i am asking today.....reach out to the people around you with compassion and understanding when they show signs of depression. dont know what the signs are : read this .... mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/depression/basics/symptoms/con-20032977
