As someone who deals with Internet throttling and service degradation in China, if you guys are seriously facing similar government-blessed Internet restrictions in the USA - PUT A STOP TO IT RIGHT Fing NOW. You know whats worse than outright blocking something? Degrading access to it for the sake of competition. Thats how it works in China - and has less to do with PRC government censoring than youve been told - and everything to do with corporate competition (that, and the fact that the PRC government knew long before any of us that Facebook, Google+, etc - were all being scraped and astro-turfed by the NSA, but thats a story for another day). As the article below mentions, this is not a political story - its greed, pure and simple.
