As someone who has been involved in video games since a 386 with 256 colour monitor dropped into my lap, war games have been following the soldiers, either as a commander, as in Command & Conquer or Total Annihilation series, or as a grunt on the ground i.e. Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, etc. The only war game that really transcended that, was The Line, which was a very underrated game. This game though... intrigues me, because its not from the eyes of soldiers, its war through the eyes of civilians struggling to survived in a land in which the monster called War has consumed their land, and theyre struggling just to survive. In a way, Im happy that games have transcended beyond just mindless entertainment. youtu.be/XI_c0lp68RY
