As students, Libby and I found some of the best music in town listening to Steve Fromholz at the old Saxon Pub. Memories of his talent and his lyrics are a part of our family. His Texas Trilogy tells a story of what it meant to be Texas tough. His music, his poetry, his stories, his acting are so much about the land from whence we come. A West Texas ranch seems a fitting location for his passing but so premature. Our hearts go out to Darcy of whom he sung and Felicity—a sentiment no doubt shared by our many fellow Fromholz fans. We have lost a true Texas music legend.
