As the 2014 Primary Race speeds onward, some important facts are becoming increasing apparent about the Former Tea Party Member, turned Democrat Jason Thigpen. Speaking recently to a Kinston group it was reported Mr. Thigpen stated that he had returned all of the campaign contributions he received from his Republican contributors, yet offered no evidence of that fact. If you review his contribution totals before and after his miraculous transformation from Tea Party Member to Democrat, you will see little to no change in the totals. Which indicates to me little to no funds were actually returned. When asked if Mr. Thigpen voted for President Obama in the last Presidential election, Mr. Thigpen paused before replying “Yes”. That pause speaks volumes. I personally believe that he was not being truthful. While there is no way to check this fact, it seems highly illogical to believe that Jason Thigpen, a hard core Ultra Conservative Republican at the time of the last Presidential election in 2012, would vote for a President that his party had openly stated that their only priority was to ensure that President Obama did not get reelected, would break party lines and vote for President Obama. Who could believe that? This apparent blatant attempt to deceive the Democratic Party in the 3rd District provides unprecedented insight into the actual mindset of the Republicans in the 3rd District, that Democrats are simple minded and gullible. If we elect him, we are simply validating his apparent belief that we are indeed simple minded and gullible. Democrats in the 3rd District have a clear choice, Marshall Adame, the only “REAL” Democrat in the race, as their nominee.
