As the mass moves from the courtyard to the church, SEIU ULTCW - TopicsExpress

As the mass moves from the courtyard to the church, SEIU ULTCW Secretary Treasurer Kim Evon, opens with a call to action: Within this house of worship we are reminded that this country has no reason for being without the fundamental commitment to the incarnation of the value, All Men Are Created Equal. And yet we must admit that our Americans systems do not deliver on this promise. Our immigration system is broken. Our justice system is broken. Our economic system is broken. And because of this our hearts are broken... because a family is torn apart or lives in the shadows because of detention and deportation... because a family has to bury a child killed by a gun that should not have been fired; has to accept the injustice doled out by those who do not feel empathy or humanity toward a human being because of skin color... because a society has deemed that that thousands and thousands, that millions and millions are not worthy of lives of Dignity because they work as home care givers, nursing home workers, janitors, custodial staff, airport workers, fast food workers, child care givers; because they work in service to others... Our hearts are broken. But we are not broken. Our hearts will heal, and beat as one. United. And together we will fix all that is broken. And live how we were created: As equals. #ImmigrationAction #Blacklivesmatter #OurLivesMatter #AllLivesMatter #FightFor15 #Homecare15
