As the year is coming to a close, I am slowly but surely getting some things in order. Since I was not in school this semester, I racked up over 50 clock hours in the Caring for Kids program for child care providers through the STLCC Continuing Education office. Apparently thats a record. I also helped my mom provide home care to my two nephews. Now that my dad is retired, all he seems to do is complain about the boys, but theyre just kids so relax dad. My parents celebrated their 50th anniversary and I wrote a special message for them that I didnt get to read until they came back from their 2nd honeymoon in Arizona. I was also a little inebriated the night of their party anyhow... Ive committed myself to eating better and exercising more and hopefully losing some extra weight and rededicated myself to taking better care of my teeth and oral health. Unfortunately Ive had to have a lot of dental work done including getting my wisdom teeth extracted earlier today. My poor mouth :( Well, thats what happens when youre so casual about brushing and flossing. I know without a doubt that I want to teach early childhood special education and I just need to get back into school somewhere (hopefully SLU again) and earn my degree and certification. If I cant go back for the upcoming semester, I will try and volunteer/work somewhere. Things are looking up as I find myself reflecting. Ive been seeing an analyst and things are going well there, too. I feel like my mental health has never been better, but you just never know. I didnt anticipate things at SLU going south during the spring, but things unraveled and I was left scrambling. Oh well, it happens. One last thing before I sign off: I want to go around to the different sites and houses that have put up lights for xmas. To anyone in the St. Louis area particularly south city and county, do you know any places that I just have to check out, even private residences? Please respond directly to me or to this message.
