As we all drag our heavy hearts to church today to say our last goodbye to our lovely friend Steve, its a time to remember his galant fight. His super sense of humour and huge warm heart. One of the poignant memories I will always have is getting lost with Steve on a road trip! I was looking for a place to graze the horses and remember Steve was in for coffee & cake (in a mug! Never forget that not a posh cup!) I said wheres nether whitacre Steve..... Errrrr its down the lanes, come on gal we will go and find out It was so funny, like something from a comedy sketch, so many farms we pulled into, me shrieking there it is at every farm house we passed... Steve braking , pulling in to find it wasnt what we were seeking. We were in bits, thats how I will remember him.....he was so sick but had to help, that was just his way... Steve is most certainly a super example of our slogan we have etched on the wall... And I repeat.... Welcome, may all who enter as guests leave as friends We have lost a good one, off to a peaceful other place, but never forgotten god bless matey 💔
