That I will set aside time each day for the sole purpose of feeling sad, depressed, angry, etc.; understanding that this is a normal, natural and vital part of the grieving process. 2. That I will not feel guilty for setting a specific time aside for me. This is not an act of greed or selfishness on my part. I am not neglecting anything or anyone by taking this time for me and everything that needs to be done will still be waiting for me after my Quiet Time is finished for the day. 3. That I understand that my personal Quiet Time will not involve any outside people or potentially distracting influences, such as the television, the telephone, the computer or any household responsibilities. I understand that this time is for the acknowledgement of my loss and grief, as well as the emotional renewal and strengthening of my spirit and my soul. 4. To recognize that each time I commit to taking this essential daily time for myself, I am traveling forward in a positive way on my healing journey. As I continue to move through each chapter and with each day that passes, I am progressing further toward a stronger spirit and a peaceful and healed heart.
