As you all know I have Stage IV Breast Cancer mets to the bones. I have had Cancer insurance through Aflac since 2005 through my employer I pay the premiums. My diagnosis was 2009 and had no problems until now. I retired September 30 and signed up for Alfac Always and pay my premiums out of my pocket. I got online to submit my bills and found out Aflac dropped me Dec 12, 2014, never sent me a letter nothing. I called them crying because this pays my medical bills and they told me I had to put in to be reinstated but the form they sent me stated since I have cancer I am no longer eligible. WHAT!!! I called them and this nice lady said she would put me back on if I paid three months of premiums. I said of course. She said it would take 2 to 3 days to get me back on. Every day I call and get the run around, call back in two days now it will be 15 days before I get put back on. I got cancer insurance to help cover costs in case I get cancer. And now they drop me because Im using my insurance because I have cancer. This is not right. They cant legally do this. Im just so stressed about this. I will keep bugging them but not sure where to go from here.
