As you all know our pamper event is about pampering our men, women and children who have fought cancer or are fighting cancer. What about their caregivers? They too are going through thee emotions and helping us stay strong. Well this year we asked our fighters and survivors to nominate someone who had been with them in their journey and that person would also get pampered with them the day of event. Id like to share what one survivor wrote in. Hello Isabell, I am sorry havent sent this too you sooner! However, my nomination for pampering right next to me is my husband Rodolfo Ruiz! I nominated my husband Rodolfo because he is my rock he is my everything! My best friend! There is no other! Rodolfo has been by my side from the very beginning since we met! The last two years before I was diagnosed with uterine cancer we had been trying to have a baby! Rodolfo has a son, however i had no children! Who would of known a bladder infection would of led up to me finding out I had uterine cancer! I remember that day in october 2013 doctor said needed to see me, Rodolfo was there right by my side I was scared I just had a feeling was bad! Well we both sat there waiting Rodolfo holding my hand! The doctor came in and I remember that look she was very sorry she told me but it was confirmed from pathology that I had uterine cancer and that it was likely they couldnt save my uterus! I remember I just cried and so did Rudy like my world just fell! My hopes of being a mother bearing a child was crushed and just feeling like I was less then a woman because I couldnt give the man I love so much another child and most of all me a mother to be one day! I remember us walking out of doctor office rudy just held me and said he will be there every step of the way no matter what he wasnt leaving me he said! To this day he never did he has taken care of me doctor appointment s meeting oncologists from surgery after care, through it all! Rudy could of been gone, but he stayed with me through my heartache my world turning upside down! Rodolfo my baby my love I want you pampered by my side because your selfless when it comes to me you been my everything my best friend and words cant tell you how much I adore you and thank you for this gift of pampering! .. I know that we fighters go through a whole lot while going through our treatment but lets not forget our loved ones who are right by our side every step of the way, they too are fighters and go through a lot with us , so because of that Id like honor them as well. Thank you for standing beside us and helping us FIGHT this FIGHT ❤
