As you know last Sunday Sydney and I bought this leaf vacuum and we were able remove about a 1/4 of the leaves off of our yard. The machine vacuums, mulches then deposits the debris into a, bladder, bag. Sunday was sunny and pleasant, so I was wearing only jeans and a t-shirt. To get the mulched leaves out I had to extract them with my hands, digging my arms deep into the bag to get all the debris. It was a bit messy, but not terribly so. Two days later I started to have these little bumps on my arms, neck, and stomach that itched like hell. Turns out I have Chigger bites. I suppose our entire yard was infested with these micro-size bastards, who had a good feast on my naive Southern California sunburnt skin! medicinenet/chiggers_bites/article.htm
