Ashley in Cohort 2012 earned her undergrad degree from UC Berkely and is one of the firsts among her cohort at MAIS to complete her thesis and receive her M.A. degree within one year. Here is what she says about her MAIS and China experience. Hope you all feel encouraged by what Ashley has accomplished! "The MAIS program has allowed me to learn more about China and myself than I ever have before. Teaching English in Hangzhou, China put me outside of my comfort zone and allowed me to be completely independent. This program is truly unique and I am grateful for my experiences throughout the last year. I will return to Hangzhou to teach English for another year and plan to study Chinese at the same time.
