At a wedding, waiting to cut and serve cake and watching a family - TopicsExpress

At a wedding, waiting to cut and serve cake and watching a family with an obvious long line of love and started thinking. Tonight reminds me of how God weaves so many miracles and blessings into our lives. Many encounters seem so insignificant at the time or so painful when the skys are the darkest, yet during the storms of our lives brings bits of sunshine and happiness that we would never have expected. The burdens on our hearts that I know were placed there by our creator allowed us to grow, love, live and humble ourselves before the real sunshine could break through and show us that love, family, faithfulness and Christ will always prevail. Our family was blessed greatly when Darren and I married, then blessed enormously when Kristian joined us. Then, Lindsey and Ryan w/Gabe after their darkest days found one another and blessed our socks off by getting married and giving Darren and I our first grandson (that just sounds weird). Just when we thought the sun was shining greatly upon us, not realizing the skys were still not right, and feeling a deep longing that our family was still missing something, God parted the skys above us one night with a very special email. See, Darrens heart was still burdened by a loss, a loss of a child he thought he would never get to know or even know was still alive. She found him!! Shes a great wife and mom, 3 kids and now we have 4 grand kids (OMG that really sounds crazy :)). Anyway, I know storms will continue to come, we all still need to grow and things cant grow without rain! God did it that way on purpose. And I praise him in the storms and I will praise him in the light!
