At age 4 J still cannot feed himself ...but this year he has taken an interest in trying. He wants to hold the spoon and help guide it into his mouth. He eats about half his meals by mouth and the rest goes in his feeding tube. If you dont let him participate in feeding himself, he wont eat now. We let him help put the spoon in his mouth so that he will eat more by mouth. He just wants to be a big boy! Love to see how happy and proud he feels doing it!
