At the :32 mark, Steve Rogers is, I think, obviously faking the strain of lifting Mjolnir. Theres a moment where the hammer shifts, Thors eyes go wide, then you cut to Steve grunting and putting on a show. We know--from the comics, and from the implied themes of all the films so far--that Captain America is worthy. Why he decides in that instant of realization that he actually doesnt want anyone to know that he can lift the hammer I dont know, but still--the principle of Chekovs gun, everyone. If we have a fun early scene where Cap pretends he cant lift Mjolnir, you can bet your Joss Whedon trading cards that, before the end of the movie, hes going to swing that baby to save them all. youtube/watch?v=eGwuoYKhqx8
