At the screening of LA Metal, The Early Years, I had a wonderful moment when an amazing young lady ran after me when the film ended. She said she lived near Pasadena and went to my shows and has followed my work all her life. She said came to the screening to meet me and thank me for being a powerful role model for her and for showing women what it means to be a businesswoman in this music business. A second young lady in the hip hop business joined in our conversation. We had this great talk about what it takes to be a woman in music and groupies vs. businesswomen. What a great conversation it was, it touched my heart to see these young women, just starting off in the business and carrying on as positive, powerful, strong young businesswomen in the music.
