Attended another Harbour Board Meeting last night. Lucky for some I took Vanessa Oakes with me! A decision was made about where the money will be spent on improvements either an extension to the old or new toilets built at the near of the RNLI building. The plan is to extend the existing toilets to include the Changing Place facility, to replace the old disabled toilet with a family toilet. The provision for babies and families is poor and I certainly felt with the Changing place and a place for families we would pretty much have everyone included. Will keep you posted unfortunately Caroline Hicks who has worked so hard was ill so couldnt attend the meeting I look forward to speaking to her and working with her to make sure we dont have a HAND DRYER right next to any changing table! I thank Neil Baker for his continued support in getting this facility off the ground, these meeting can certainly feel like walking through sticky treacle!
