Attention is on the Fed today. At 1900 GMT, FOMC Statement is due. All bets are that Fed will reduce asset purchasing on the back of the recent good US economic performance. However there is split consensus between analysis for the amount of reduction in monthly asset purchasing - if $5bn or $10bn. Today we are observing strong movements in GBPUSD with 60 point movement and on movements on USDJPY up to 99 Yen level. It is expected that with $10bn reduction in asset purchasing, will positively impact the dollar and with more caution if this level is at $5bn, as doubts will persists on whether there will be an overall end to the tapering, a dollar negative sign.
