August 31~ 1953 - A disc-shaped object flew toward the east in the sky over Vernon, France at 4:00 p.m. It shot up rapidly to a higher altitude, then stopped and circled. Gross, UFOs: A History. 1953: August-December, p. 17). 1954 - At 8:00 p.m. an Australian Navy Hawker Sea Fury II was paced on either side by two dark, 50 meter long cigar-shaped objects flying near Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia. The UFOs were tracked on radar for 10 minutes before shooting off toward the northeast. It vanished in sparks, which were followed by a blue rain. (Source: Harold T. Wilkins, Flying Saucers Uncensored, p. 219). 1954 - In Asnieres-le-Dijon, France a disc travelled through the sky at 12:50 p.m. from east to west at great speed without stopping. It changed color from red to orange tosilver. It was observed near military aircraft. In Orly, France at 7:30 p.m. two luminous orange objects at high altitude came from the west at high speed and crossed the sky rapidly flying toward the east. Garreau). 1954 - At 8:50 p.m. a reddish yellow sphere flew very slowly at an estimated 5 mph to the north in Stafford, England. At 8:55 p.m. a sombrero-shaped saucer was sighted at Stone, Staffordshire, England. It made a droning sound as it flew.
