Australia Day Wheelchair Race - CAN YOU LEND A HAND? The annual OZ Day Wheelchair Race will again be held on Australia Day on Sunday 26th January 2014 starting and finishing at Circular Quay. This year the organisers are desperately short of volunteers, more so than in previous years so your assistance would be greatly appreciated. We are looking for up to 35 volunteer marshals to help set up the course and man the barriers and the course for the Race. Volunteers need to be at Circular Quay at about 7am on 26 January 2014 and duties normally finish at about 11am after we have packed up. The Wheelchair Race has been held each year since 1990. Our Club has been a keen supporter of the Race for many years and has again been asked to provide Marshals. The race normally starts at 9.00am over a distance of 10 kilometres being 2 laps out along Hickson Road and back. Wheelchair Sports NSW is the organiser of this event.
