Awesome benefit for SME student members graduating from college! SME has long recognized the vital role that todays students will play in the industrys health and prosperity tomorrow. SME student members and student chapters are important elements in the SME structure. Each year we give all SME student members graduating from college a free year of membership as a congratulations gift for their achievement! We recognize the transition from school into the workforce can be a big change and we want to help our graduating students continue with their professional development for years to come. With that in mind, after the free year of membership we upgrade all graduating students to our Associate member class where they pay dues equal to half of the Professional member dues until they turn 30 years of age. This is a great benefit for young professionals to help them become established in their professional careers while having the full resources of their SME membership.
