B.GAMELYTIC Dragon City Complete Dragon Breeding Guide By Gamelytic Dragon breeding is a unique part of the game play in Dragon City. However, it is hard to figure out how to breed what without the formula. In this guide, we will provide some formulas and tutorials on how to breed the dragons that you love and use in Dragon City. Please share this guide with your Dragon City and facebook friends if you have found it helpful. Lastly please check out the rest of our Dragon City guides. Basic Dragon Breeding Information The basic of Dragon City breeding is taught during tutorial. You will first have to level up your dragon via feeding to at least level 4. Build a building ground such as Breeding Mountain or Breeding Tree, then you can select which of the dragon that you would like to breed. It will take some time for the dragons to create the eggs and even more time for the eggs to hatch. The types of offspring is dependent on the parents. In addition, there is some sort of luck involved in breeding that you may not get the dragon you are looking for 100% of the time. When you first start the game, we recommend you to start from generation 1 and breed a couple high generation dragons. However, slow down on the Pure Dragon breeding (We label it generation 4 and 4.5) because the long breeding time can hinder your game play. Basic Breeding Dragons To start breeding the dragons, you must first have these basic building blocks. You must purchase these dragons from eggs because you do not have the parents to generate and mate for these basic dragons. Generation 3 Dragon Breeding – Legendary The dragon breeding list for the legendary rank is well, pretty rare. You really have to rely heavily on your luck to get a shot at landing these dragons. Because the type of elements associated with these rare breeds are quite complex, we do not have the exact formula for these Dragon City breeds yet. Legendary Dragon – Cool Fire Dragon + Soccer Dragon Crystal Dragon – Coolfire + Soccer Mirror Dragon – Gummi Dragon + Cool Fire Dragon Wind Dragon – Gummi Dragon + Cool Fire Dragon, Soccer + CoolFire Generation 4 and 5 Pure Dragon Breeding – The Pure Dragons The pure dragon in Dragon City is the latest update that uses all the legendary dragons that you have gotten. Some people also call the Pure dragon the “Unicorn” dragon, because it looks like a unicorn. However, the actual name on Dragon City is the Pure Dragon. This category of dragon has its own habitat of the Pure and Pure elements. Below is how you can obtain these pure dragons in Dragon City. We have intentionally separated the ranking generation of Pure and Pure Element. You will need Pure Dragon before you can start breeding the Pure Elements, thus effectively make the Pure Elements one generation after the Dragon City Pure Dragon. It should be noted again that the breeding chance of Pure Dragon is not 100%. Based on our brief tests, we estimate the chance of breeding the Pure Dragon to be roughly 30~50% or even lower. There is a chance to have a result of any possible dragon combination when you breed two legendary dragon together. Generation 4 – The Pure Dragon Pure Dragon – Any breeding combination from legendary status dragons – Legendary, Crystal, Mirror, Wind. For example, Legendary + Crystal, Crystal + Mirror, and … Generation 5 – The Pure Element Dragons After you have obtained the Pure dragons, you can use the Dragon City pure dragon to breed the Pure element dragons with their elemental counterparts. Below is a list of all these pure elemental dragons. Pure Plant = Pure Dragon + Plant Dragon Pure Fire = Pure Dragon + Fire Dragon Pure Earth = Pure Dragon + Earth Dragon Pure Water = Pure Dragon + Water Dragon Pure Electric = Pure Dragon + Electric Dragon Pure Ice = Pure Dragon + Ice Dragon Pure Metal = Pure Dragon + Metal Dragon Pure Dark = Pure Dragon + Dark Dragon Special Advice on Pure Dragon Breeding and Hatching Time: The pure dragons breeding combination takes a whopping 48 hours to complete. The hatching of any “pure” dragon City dragons also takes 48 hours. Together the pure dragon breeding and hatching time adds up to 96 hours which is 4 days. Before you start breeding these, make sure that you have enough dragons as backup because they will take up your breeding and hatching queue. Putting your available legendary dragons into breeding places will make them unable to battle for that initial 2 days. Notes: Dragon City Opposing Element Breeding In this list that we have provided, there are some breeds that include elements that are opposed to each other. This means that you cannot normally breed them directly. However, you can use hybrid dragons that contain the opposing elements to breed the hybrid dragons. Because hybrid is used in the breeding process, this means that you will not be able to get the dragon that you want 100% of the time, so just keep on trying until you breed the Dragon City dragons that you need! C.WIKIA Breeding is a feature which enables the player to reproduce their dragons, while generating different varieties of dragons. This allows players to acquire dragons without resorting to buying eggs with gems. Breeding is also done for the following purposes: To complete collections in The Book of Dragons. To acquire rare hybrids and legendary types which are more powerful in Combat. To generate income by selling hatched dragons. Breeding is accessible through Breeding buildings, which are the Breeding Mountain and the Ultra Breeding Tree. The Breeding Mountain is available at the very beginning for 500Bar template.png which give 500Xp template.png and allows one pair of dragons to be bred at a time. The Ultra Breeding Tree is available at Level 15 for a cost of 100Gem template.png, and lets the player breed another pair of dragons concurrently. Contents [show] Breeding Concepts BreedingChart2nd.png Breeding involves the following concepts: 1) One pair of dragons always produce one egg. 2) Dragons are a**xual (neither male nor female). Therefore any dragon can breed with any other dragon, provided the following limits: Dragons must be level 4 or above to breed. Dragons which are busy in training or breeding elsewhere cannot be used for breeding until they are available again. Pure elemental dragons cannot breed with pure elemental dragons of the opposite element. 3) The resulting egg usually hatches into a dragon which possesses a mix of elements - one from each of its parents. Exceptions exist when legendary dragons are bred. 4) The breeding time of any given combination of Dragons is equal to the longer hatch time of the two dragons used. (See Dragon City Eggs for hatch times.) Breeding Guide Elemental Dragons Basic elemental dragons have only one element, and can be bought for gold at the store. Breeding two dragons of the same element will always produce an elemental dragon of that same element. On the other hand, when two different elemental dragons are bred together, the resulting egg always hatches into a hybrid. Hybrid Dragons There are generally two varieties of hydrid dragons that can result from breeding different elemental types together. The resulting hybrid does not depend on the order which the parents are selected, although it is likely that some hybrid eggs are more common than others. (eg. Breeding Earth + Fire always results in either a Vulcano or Flaming rock, regardless of whether the Earth dragon was in the left or right selection box. However, the Flaming rock dragon seems to be more common than the Vulcano.) Hybrids may be bred together to generate more hybrids. If both parents share at least one element, an elemental dragon may also be produced. Breeding an elemental with a hybrid guarantees that the new dragon hatched will possess that element. Two hybrids which carry opposing elements (eg. Plant element in Nenufar & Electric element in Star) may sometimes produce a Rare Hybrid (in this case, a Gummy). Rare Hybrid Dragons Basic elemental dragons of opposite elements cannot breed directly with each other. Instead hybrid dragons carrying each element must be used. Rare dragons are: Armadillo Soccer / Cool Fire Pirate / Petroleum / Poo Gummy The Poo Dragon is a special rare hybrid because it possesses 3 elements instead of 2. Breeding together rare hybrids can result in any of the dragons expected from breeding together two regular hybrids. Occasionally, a legendary dragon would be born. Also see Breeding Rare Hybrids for possible combinations. Legendary Dragons Legendary dragons are bred from two rare hybrids. They are difficult to obtain, and require 2 days to hatch. Legendary Crystal Mirror Wind When used in breeding, legendary dragons function as wildcards. Breeding a legendary dragon with non-legendary dragons produces a random dragon which always carries at least one element from the non-legendary parent. (eg. Breeding Earth + Legendary might produce a Cactus or an Armadillo, another Earth dragon or even a Poo.) Breeding together two legendary dragons results in a random egg from the entire taxonomy of current dragon species (including elementals and legendary types). Since August 2012, there is a significant possibility of acquiring a Pure type from two legendary dragons. Pure Dragons Habitats for pure dragons have been released (although these dragons have not been announced); their symbols also appear in The Book of Dragons. They seem to be a rarer sort of legendary dragons. It is stated that in order to breed them, only a few combinations will work. Pure dragons are bred from two Legendary Dragons. The combination results in the Pure Unicorn Dragon. That Dragon can be bred with, confirmed so far, Earth Dragon or Fire Dragon to create the Pure Earth Dragon or Pure Fire Dragon, respectively. Breeding chart: Basic, Hybrid and Rare Dragons Basic dragons are found from top left to bottom right. Rare Dragons are found from bottom left to top right: They cannot be combined directly from their base elements. Understanding this chart will make breeding a Rare Dragon much easier as all possibilities are visible, Examples: An Armadillo (first column, last row) can be bred with any Hybrid from first column combined with any Hybrids in the last row. A Cool Fire (second column, seventh row) can be bred with any Hybrid of the second column combined with any Hybrid in the seventh row. However, your chances may depend on the combination chosen. The breeding chart is mirrored along the diagonal of pure element dragons.
