BDF BARRACKS ARSON TRIAL DATES SET Magistrate, Mr Dumisani Basupi has set June 29, 30 and July 14-16 as the trial dates for a case in which Bonno Ikanyeng is alleged to have burnt Botswana Defence Force (BDF) barracks block in Francistown. The BDF barracks block, which accommodated up to 25 people, was guttered by fire in 2013 in Military Garrison Area S and no lives were lost. She was granted bail on condition that she does not interfere with police investigations, commit any offence while on bail or be involved in any criminal conduct and should attend court on scheduled dates. The re-scheduling of the initial trial dates were instigated by the unavailability of prosecutors for the case. Ms Mompoloki Gaboiphiwe represented the state while the accused was represented by Mr Thabelo Gaonyadiwe of KK Sechele Attorneys. ENDS
