BEHOLD THE BEAUTY OF THE LORD Holiness is the combination of the glory and beauty of God. The beauty of God is the mother of all beauties, yet there is no pride in that beauty. A man who is beautiful, will want everyone to see his or her beauty so that he or she will take pride in the praises of men: but God who is the mother of all beauties is not even showing off all his beauties to men, for he is very selective on whom he will allow to see his beauty. There is a condition attached with seeing the beauty of the LORD, that is holiness; without holiness, no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14). It will be a blessing to see God, and that blessing is only reserved for those who are pure in heart (Matthew 5:8). Let us desire this, to see the LORD: as it is written, One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple. (Psalms 27:4).
