BELIEVE AND RECEIVE Oh Lord, Ill rejoice and be glad for this day! To you, oh Lord, I pray. With thanksgiving, I present my needs to you. I know you’ll find a way. Without you Lord, I have no good thing; I can do nothing apart from you. I find faith in your word, in your time Ill be heard. Yeshua, you’ll know what to do. I lean on you Lord to answer my prayer, as I cast my cares above. Youll always do whats best for me, so covered in your love. I pray to you for guidance, on worry, fear or strife, I’ll fix my eyes on the Lamb of Yehovah, the way, the truth, the life. “Theres no need to add to the worries that each and every day brings”, I look to you Yehovah to answer my prayers, as you know, I need all these things. “Ask and you will receive”, your promise, I do believe. For those who ask, receive, Those who seek, do find, to those who knock, the door is opened, Yeshua, eternally kind. Let me love you with all of my heart, and seek your kingdom first, for you alone are the Holy One, in whose love, I am immersed. I AM I AM the creator of all things great and small. I AM the foundation of the church, I withstand its weight it bears on me. I AM the mountain that you try hard to climb. I AM the light, that within your soul I shine. I AM the rock, for which you stand. I AM your guidance, the unseen HAND. I AM salvation of many, but takers are few. I AM the judge who is straight and true. I AM the truth, the light, and narrow is my way. I AM the forgiver so please believe what I say. I AM the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending. I am the storm of judgment that I am sending. I AM your friend will you be mine? For the day is drawing near, there is so little time. I AM HIM that has Sent me I AM who I AM, so therefore you are FREE! Mark 8:36 36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You’re not in the driver’s seat; I am. Don’t run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I’ll show you how. Self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to saving yourself, your true self. What good would it do to get everything you want and lose you, the real you? What could you ever trade your soul for? Genesis 4:6-7 6 And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? 7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. God spoke to Cain: “Why this tantrum? Why the sulking? If you do well, won’t you be accepted? And if you don’t do well, sin is lying in wait for you, ready to pounce; it’s out to get you, you’ve got to master it.” Today’s commentary God rejected Cain’s offering of grain, yet He accepted his brother Abel’s offering of a lamb. It is easy to see why Cain became angry, but that was because God’s preferences contrasted Cain’s inclinations. Yet God loved Cain so much that he tried to reason with Cain. What happens to us when our will is crossed by God’s will in Scripture? Do we get angry as well? Our reactions are more of an indicator of our heart than any inconsistencies on God’s part. Matthew 24:35 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. “Take a lesson from the fig tree. From the moment you notice its buds form, the merest hint of green, you know summer’s just around the corner. So it is with you: When you see all these things, you’ll know he’s at the door. Don’t take this lightly. I’m not just saying this for some future generation, but for all of you. This age continues until all these things take place. Sky and earth will wear out; my words won’t wear out. Thoughts on Todays Verse... What do you have that will last? Not much — the love you have for God and his children, the praise you offer him, and the Word he has spoken to us through his Spirit, the prophets, and his Son Jesus.
