Face2Face Africa recently spoke with the CEO, founder of Clean Water for Everyone (CWFE) Wemimo Abbey about his new project in Zimbabwe. CWFE needs to raise roughly $4,000 in order to bring clean water to the schoolgirls and community of Empandeni Mission School. While talking with him, when we asked him what one of his biggest challenges has been, he said that even though the majority of his projects help African communities, Africans have been the hardest to get support from. I cant really wrap my mind around why we, Africans, dont support our initiatives. I also think theres a lack of trust. Its frustrating when more than 95 percent of our donors are non-Africans and a brunt of our project is situated in Africa, Abbey said. Face2Face Africa community, I challenge you to help us help ourselves!!! Lets help our people, and when you are done, pass this along to five other people, so that we can put our money where our mouth is! CWFE has 10 days to make its goal. Lets make it happen!!!
