BENTLEYS BLOG. Well what do you think of our Katie, a STAR in the making or what. She was amazing, played to the crowd and got everyone dropping those pennies into her bucket, of course shes a quick learner, soon realised you get a treat for doing what your told!! Our street collection was in my home town, so it was good to see some of my friends from the park, everyone was so generous with lots of kind words for the work Almost Home does. I just want to say something about our fantastic volunteers who came out to help, many of them have full time jobs, families and yet they sacrificed there time to help the animals. They travelled from Belfast, Banbridge Lisburn and a few locals that cost money in petrol and on top of that car parking fees. This fundraising lark costs our volunteers money as well as giving up their time besides the treats they buy me. I just want you all to know just how much Almost Home appreciate what you do for the animals. Your sacrifice paid off and we raised through the generosity of the public the fantastic amount of £846.40. This money will come in really handy as we got quite a surprise yesterday at the shelter but I will leave Aunty Karen to tell you all about that one!!!! Now I am planning on taking a few weeks off, as I need to clear up a few things but I will be back, recharged and getting ready for SANTA PAWS LOL. See you all soon. BENTLEY x
