I am extremely grateful for my father paving the road for me and many other artists. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to take over a legacy. As a producer, my father has set extremely high standards to existing and upcoming producers all over the globe but my hard and dedicated work will show everyone that I deserve the name Young,” says the aspiring rapper/producer. Born in Paramount, California, Curtis Young and his mother moved to the city of Compton when he was an adolescent attending elementary school. He grew up in the streets of Compton with dreams of becoming a rap artist. Following on his father’s path, Young established his own independent label, So Hood Records, and immediately acquired several talented newcomers to its growing roster. Now under the title of his new venture, Young Entertainment Inc., Young has added engineering and production to long list of skills. “People can expect a new trendy look from me. I represent a new era of positive feel good music for the West Coast -- I am a new generation of West Coast artists who can not only rap but produce as well. In the future, my company Young Entertainment Inc, will set high standards and create another element for the Hip-Hop world so get familiar!” Young has generated a heavy buzz that has the streets anticipating the summer release of his debut album, “Product of My DNA.” “For my debut album, you can expect to learn about the making of Curtis Young; the story of actually becoming a product of society. People can expect to hear the true meaning of ‘Product of My DNA’ that will let people know who Curtis Young is and how I learned about my father, Dr. Dre.” Curtis Young is a true product of his environment and he will reanimate West Coast Hip-Hop like his legendary father, Dr. Dre, once did. Be Prepared -- The Legacy Continues Eric Wright, Jr better known by his stage name Lil Eazy-E is an American rapper and the eldest son of Eazy-E. Wright Jr. was born and raised in Compton, California, in the same house his father grew up in. He was 2 weeks shy of his 11th birthday when his father passed away. Lil Eazy was raised by his grandparents; thus, with their good upbringing mixed with strong street knowledge, Lil Eazy became a stoutly respected, street accredited individual in his native city of Compton, California. With the drive from his father’s legacy and, at that time, the lack of respect he felt was being given to his father, Lil Eazy set out to keep his father’s legacy alive by representing him and keeping it known who started west coast gangsta rap. While on that independent journey, Lil Eazy linked with the likes of The Game on a song titled “My Confessions”. Lil Eazy showed his raw grittiness and lyrical strongarm on a 16 that placed him a million dollar record deal with Virgin Records. The mixtape, “Rebirth of Gangsta Rap” was a worldwide attention grabber that many, many fans play in their MP3 players and stereos today across the world. Lil Eazy E formally was signed to Virgin Records; however, a change in executive management at Virgin, delayed the release of his anticipated album “Prince of Compton”. Lil Eazy-E left Virgin Records for a deal with Blackground and Universal Motown Records Group in 2006. With Blackground Records being urban based, no album was released so Lil Eazy E used this time to explore his options in life and in business by going to work at his father’s record company, Ruthless Records. Fast forward to 2011 when Lil Eazy E stepped out from behind the executive desk at Ruthless Records to become CEO of his own production company, NWA Entertainment; CEO of his own management company, High Powered Productions; producer of music from various top artists, and working on projects with various artists, companies, tv, and movie production. Lil Eazy also stepped into merchandising, representing and fully keeping his father’s legacy alive. Recently putting together the hologram of his father that received worldwide attention with over a million fans in attendence and well over a billion fans viewing on Youtube through various crowd and company recordings of the show, Lil Eazy is stepping up further with keeping his father’s legacy alive by doing shows across the United States as well as overseas in cities and countries such as Paris, Norway, Ukraine, Russia, Australia, and others with the likes of DJ Yella and Bone Thugs N Harmony, along with his brother Baby Eazy E aka E3. With over 49 unreleased new recordings in the past year as a solo artist as well as over 20 songs with his group, Compton MoneyGang, Lil Eazy E is set to release an album late 2014 which will include features from the likes of Bone Thugs N Harmony, Ice Cube, and many others. Lil Eazy E take over is finally coming. Stay up to date with his journey to continuing his father’s legacy and stroll his yellow brick road to Compton, which is also the title of his debut album set for release in the upcoming months.
