BIRTHDAY REPORT: Man I love you guys… Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone, one and all 0:) It was a damn good day – just what the doctor ordered. Musta dialed up God and said perfect day please, because thats what it was- summery-fall warm-cool sunny walking around Charles St with my birthday mate and long time fellow soul singer friend Travis Richard simply enjoying the beauty. Exploring Beacon Hill and walking on the Charles River catching a meditative sunset on the water, so serene with the waves gently lapping toward me. Connecting with some awesome resources as I work on rehabilitation in the city. Im psyched I get to enjoy this beautiful environment as well and see my great friends that live here! Topped off my beautiful birthday with a movie with mom & some nice phone calls from some great loved ones as well :) Fabulous day Sunday before my birthday seeing some friends and family walking around downtown Newbury Street, Public Gardens, getting my hair cut and styled, connecting with dear friend Ammon who has had similar amazing journeys as I have through life with brain traumas and movement/dance therapy neurorepatterning – also connecting over dinner with Ammon, mom, my godfather Paul and his wife Susan Minihane in the luxurious Oak Bar at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel- simply amazing, stunning- wow wow wow. Saw some movie about Jimi Hendrix with Ammon downtown as well. Really wonderful to see great music Uhuru Afrika at Bella Luna a.k.a. the Milky Way in Jamaica Plain Saturday night. Nice to be with friend Ashley Sitkin who I havent seen in a long time and meet her friends, run into old friends of mine from music and dance around Boston over the years, connect with the band more as well as folks that I used to dance with at the Dance Complex in Cambridge – pretty fabulous! Got to see more friends this week out and about around town for dinner and dancing! Particularly nice dinner with friends Jean Paul and Don in the South End who gifted me with a plant encouraging me to grow here in this urban environment. I was also gifted a sunflower bouquet (one of my favorite flowers – I feel like Im a sunflower ;) ) from a stranger who worked at Trader Joes to brighten my week- people can be pretty nice! Always a treat to support live music as my friends played locally- Eartha Harris and Travis Richard, enjoyed dancing to great music, catching beautiful sunsets & foliage in this urban setting with its serene aquatic accents, walking & dancing on the Charles, and even per request of a cop on the Boston Harbor waterfront tonight after he saw my music video for the single from my album Fly Away. Usually I get busted for dancing in public spaces- thats a first getting asked to dance by a cop! He even suggested when I was feeling frustrated to go scream at the end of the pier into the water to let off steam – sounds therapeutic! Any takers? Got to sail again today through Piers Park Adaptive sailing program. Going out again the next couple days, working toward my Keelboat certification. Also going on a boat ride through the Charles River Locks and Boston Harbor Sunday with family and friends- come on along if youre around! Let me know if you want to come! All in all been a great celebration of my life which is much appreciated! For this I am grateful as I move through pain to joy continually and commence the rigor of Spaulding next week finally!!! Such a paradox to suffer and feel joy... Just really great to hear from and see so many friends in the past few days- you all make life mean something great!!!!!!!! LOVE MAKES THE WORLD GO AROUND- LETS KEEP THIS PARTY GOING ALL MONTH LONG/as a way of life!!!
