I would like to formally announce that I have ventured INSIDE Aldi in winchester today!!! I have got as far as the car park before but was not brave enough. I think I was distracted by Waitrose next door or maybe the thought of being seen actually going in. Or was it something else.....I cant recall. As many have said to be its a surprisingly refreshing and straightforward experience. You walk a lot less. You dont have to look at thousands of lines and brands that you never touch. You get you shopping through the till at lightning speed.....woe betide you if you cant keep up with the check out girl! Then comes the total cost.......what a revelation. Three baags of shopping including ground coffee and honey for £27......am I dreaming. No Im going again. No wonder tescos are on the ropes with falling sales. Im glad to get that particular retail commentary off my chest. Im going to buy shares in Aldi and retire early on the profits I reckon.
