BITTERNESS PREACHING MATTHEW3:1-10 Johns aim and purpose was very good, but his preaching was full of condemnation. This is what we see in our churches today people being stoned instead of given the grace which is the favor of God, even when you dont deserve it but God qualifies you anyway. When people come to church is because God has warned them and directed them to the church expecting you as a minister to give that person a lasting solution. You are busy stoning people as if you are perfect and innocent, you are what you are because of what Christ did for you on the cross is not you hard work or anything but grace gave it all to you. God wants everybody to come to him His aim is to save not to condemn everyone, He is a loving Father let us not make gospel a hard thing or a budern good people. Gospel of Christ is an easy yoke when people are from the world they want someone who is spiritualy matured to offload them their heavy load and give them an easy yoke which is the Spiritfilled gospel. The reward of John becomes little lower even though the task was very great, let us picture it people Christ comes and say the least in the kingdom will be greater than John because the least of the kingdom is born of the Holy Spirit not born of woman seed. You need to be Spiritfilled to understand the matters of the kingdom your life must be based on the kingdom spirituality, I am born of God and grace and truth are in me let Christ be seen the gentle and patient spirit the one who takes care of the lost souls. Our mission is to bring the lost into the kingdom of Christ not to scatter them, so preachers lets do what we are called to do not something else. Lets purify the church with the words of life which are produced from the Holy Spirit just remember one thing letter kills(law) but spirit gives life(grace). When we teach grace that doesnt mean to give you a lisence to sin but above all is to give you a real meaning of kingdom teaching and the life of being born again christian. The bible tells us those who are born of God will never continue to sin because sin is not part of the holy spirit, the bitterness is what kills and destroys the church of Christ and to preach in anger doesnt make you a strong preacher is just revealing you as not mature minister. To God be the glory!!!!
