#BOGGY UPDATES.. #Equatorial Guinea TO HOST 2015 AFCON Finally, the host for the 2015 Africa Nations Cup finals has been named by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as Equatorial Guinea. This was revealed on the Confederation’s Twitter Handle on Friday afternoon two days after CAF’s executive meeting which sat in Cairo, Egypt; in which CAF announced: The Orange Africa Cup of Nations 2015 will be held in Equatorial Guinea. The tournament will run from January 17 to February 8, The tournament was originally meant to be held in Morocco but the North African nation withdraw citing Ebola scourge as the reason for not hosting. The Morocco Royal Football Federation had asked CAF to postpone the event till 2016 but the confederation insisted it had to go on as planned thus disqualified Morocco and promised further sanctions which are yet to be communicated. It should be noted that the 2012 Co-hosts were eliminated from the 2015 AFCON qualifiers after fielding an ineligible player. The Cranes were meant to face the West African nation in the second round but found themselves out despite having beaten Mauritania in a previous round.
