BOSS CONTEST PREP: TRAINING VIDEO OF THE DAY: Heres a video of me towards the end of my leg session. This is a classic example of how I train and recommend to train for hypertrophy whilst still pushing heavier weight, and protecting the stabilizers, while still hammering my legs during a squat. Also, pay particular attention to the depth! Once again, thats how low I go and recommend. If you cant go as low as you humanly possibly can, DROP the weight! Never sacrifice depth for weight! Also, another important thing to remember is, when it comes to training techniques and styles, yes there are some basic rules one needs to follow, but find what works the best for YOU, and what technique suits YOU! There might be people out there ( keyboard warriors usually, with the only squat experience of getting off the couch to go squat down on the dunny and vice versa) who will sit and try to tear my technique apart, but it works for me and has for over 15 years! Always remember, if you are a body builder or are training for hypertrophy, weights and exercises are MEANS TO THE END, so leave your ego at the door if you are serious about your hypertrophy goals! Having a good spotter, that knows how to spot and who knows how to spot you is worth his of her weight in gold when it comes to pushing to the max in squats for hypertrophy!
