BRACE FOR VERY COLD WEATHER... THE LATEST Good afternoon! Well make the most of the 12 hours, because come tomorrow, temperatures are set to half, as a bitter cold blast moves north. What do you need to know -- Metservice has a Road Snowfall Warning for Arthurs and Lewis Pass for 10-15cm above 700m. -- Winds have turned more SW< meaning that a chain shower set up is likely. Mostly affecting Banks Peninsula but showers are still likely over Christchurch. -- Expect snow down to 300m (possibly lower) affecting the hill suburbs. -- Expect 10cm above 600m on Banks Peninsula. Metservice has a severe weather watch out for this reason. -- In Christchurch, expect hail and sleet, with snow showers above 200-300m on the port Hills. Stay warm, back tonight! -Josh
