Our passion is research into Clinton Countys history. In CCHAs community of members past and present and interested citizens, we all have our special interests or passions. In the last couple of years weve talked with people who love the old airports in Clinton County, our old bottles, glass plate negatives, railroad equipment, Native American artifacts, textiles, Civil War soldiers, lighthouses, restaurants, mining, Hotel Champlain - you name it - we love it. Most of our board members, docents and interns are actively researching - Helen Nerska on our Civil War chaplains - Geri Favreau Morgan horses in the Civil War - Julie Dowd is working on Civil War soldiers - Luke Cyphers and Melissa Peck hotels - John Conley our gun collection - Roger Black the Catholic Summer School - Mary Nicknish loves our textiles - Ellen Adams, The Tuesday Club - Maurica Gilbert has researched our Redford glass collection - Jim Baileys life IS research. Roger Harwood is passionate about his islands - Valcour and Crab. Come in with your passions, wed love to see your research and will document it for others to share. Thats what were here for.
