No, pls: it is TO POINT THE FINGER AT; not to point accusing finger at. Two, in Nigeria theres nothing like FEDERAL MINISTER. We dont have State or Local Government Minister, or do we? Nigerians can only talk of FEDERAL MINISTRY, since we also have State Ministry! 3.0 Now, Today Lesson Notes: UNBELIEVABLE COMMON MISTAKES (Part One). Or should we call them INCREDIBLE UNCOMMON MISTAKES? You know, everyday I get to hear/read words and phrases I would never have believed people could concoct. Here are five of such wicked mistakes: a) I regret that I am smsing you at this HOT HOUR of 2am. b) She BORE her mind during the reconciliation meeting. c) Lets celebrate, Jesus has ARISEN/AROSEN. d) They are waiting to discuss THE NITTY-GRITTIES with you. e) The TWO BOTH of them will attend the event. 4.0 Here are the acceptable versions: a) I regret that I am smsing you at this ODD HOUR of 2am. b) She BARED her mind during the reconciliation meeting. (we are not here referring to bear, but BARE) c) Lets celebrate, Jesus has (had) RISEN. (while arisen is a no no in this context, AROSEN is alien to the English Language) d) They are waiting to discuss THE NITTY-GRITTY with you. (the word means details so you cannot pluralise it) e) Either, The TWO of them will attend the event or BOTH of them will ... 5.0 Thats BUSH HOUSE SCHOOLS, today.
