Baby Moses was brought to the orphanage on December 11. We dont know much about his story other than that he was abandoned at the hospital and social services in Haiti brought him to Village de Vie. Pastor Pudens called me because the orphanage isnt equipped to care for babies. When I met Moses my heart melted. He is a scrawny little guy with one bright blue eye and and a great smile- a smile that clearly shows he has Downs syndrome. He was only supposed to stay at the orphanage for one night so Pudens asked if he could stay at our house. I agreed and took him home. The next day while talking to the social workers I really felt that Moses needed to go somewhere that specializes in caring for kids with special needs. The social workers were more than happy to give us his paperwork and leave him with us. So, we are foster parents and loving it! Moses has brought so much joy to our house. He has gained some much needed weight and always had a smile for the kids. He is very popular and has many friends stopping by to ask how he is, hold him and say he looks much better. Please pray for us as we try to coordinate his long term care.
