Baby Update: these first 8 1/2 hours have been nothing but joy with our new son. He truly is such an amazing baby. I am so grateful that God knew we needed him in our family. I already cant imagine life without him. What a sweet sweet gift. He is an amazing eater and sleeper and is just as sweet as can be. I am slowly getting all the wires and tubes out which I am grateful for. I have been in this bed for nearly 17 hours straight now and am ready to get up and around so hopefully that will happen soon. I still have to receive the high blood pressure meds for the preeclampsia until 11am tomorrow but will be excited to ditch that iv as well. At this point I have no idea when we will be getting to go home. Although this was not my typical labor and delivery I am grateful for Gods gift of a safe delivery for both of us. The medical staff did a tremendous job every step of the way at keeping us both safe and I couldnt have asked for better care. My dear sweet husband was my rock once again. He is truly amazing the way he cares for me no matter what and each of his children as well. You should see this big man with his tiny boy! Melts my heart!!! We are so blessed! God is so good and today we are just so thankful.
