Back at work and the dust has settled. This year was certainly different than last. I said I didnt need Burning Man this year, but the truth is, I did. It was hard, and scary, to return to the place that ultimately changed every single aspect of my life. It was lonelier than I remember—dustier, louder, colder—but somewhere in between the hard work of building a camp with friends old and new, the sunrises I lost count of, completing the 31-mile Burning Man Ultramarathon course and the best dance parties on the planet, I walked into the sparks of the Man alone and found a new magic, the magic that comes from trusting and believing in yourself. They say that home is where the heart is, and I couldnt be happier to be Home.
