Back from another fun (not) and fruitless visit to the doctor for Xander. In a way todays visit was better, even though it also wasnt, because I feel like we have more forward momentum. Still no clue as to whats going on with him, and hes generally feeling the same/worse. (I think worse, judging by what I SEE and what hes said to me, and he says the same.) They took a bunch more blood, this time casting the net wide for Lyme disease (thank you Laura Pauling!) and autoimmune disorders--both are not probable but worth checking out because he did go on Trek through tick-infected dessert in June and we have a huge family history of autoimmune disorders. Next up is a bone scan. They dismissed liver problems but this time said the words looks like a bone disease. What? OMGosh. I think my head might explode. So were looking at that now. The other good thing is that if the results of these tests are inconclusive, well finally be referred to an internist at Primary Childrens Medical Center in SLC. So forward motion. Thats good, right? Thanks for the continued good prayers and happy thoughts on Xans behalf. Were not done with them, yet!
