Back home in my growing up years , Sundays were all about music classes and my hair care process . Be it summer , rains or winter ... mother would put hot coconut oil on my hair the night before and tie the hair into plaits . The next day our house help , who i have seen since child hood , Gita Di , would make warm water , dip the towel in it , squeeze the water out from the hot steaming towel and put it on my hair . I would leave it for atleast half an hour before washing it off . Post the washing , Ma would ask me to put a tea spoon of vinegar into one mug of water and rinse off . That would leave some shine . No conditioners then . Now , with so much awareness and modern approach to hair care , and even when i can afford going for a spa and spending money , this old process , the personal touch , the simplicity of things and the result ... feels priceless . Happy Sunday people :-)
