Back in 2001 shortly after I found out I had Multiple Sclerosis I - TopicsExpress

Back in 2001 shortly after I found out I had Multiple Sclerosis I took one of the few flights between Washington DC and Detroit. On the flight I wanted a book to read. Newly diagnosed I was doing a lot of reading about MS and how different people dealt with it. A co-worker mentioned Pure Land Buddhism to me. I picked up a copy of River of Fire, River of Water by Taitetsu Unno. I began to read it and on that flight it clicked to me. By clicked it calmed me down about all the shit that I was going through. I lost the vision in my right eye at that time plus a few other things. Of course I have not read the book about Shin Buddhism in years. If asked I still say I am spiritual and if I what type, I use to say Namu Amida Butsu I give myself to Amida Buddha. Pure Land Buddhism I still feel myself as a Buddhist. But I lost that total feeling years ago. Anger and hate filled that in. I just stumbled across that book while looking for something else just a bit ago. The Muse of this post.
