Back in 2010, I was making several trips down to Unisim in order to find out more about the degree courses I could sign up. I shortlisted English with Psychology and even submitted my application when I decided to pull out. It was a life changing decision as I had to decide between furthering my education and running my own business. I chose the latter as I knew back then that I wanted to be my own boss and there were no job guarantees in the real world.. even my own. I pretty much knew nothing about business and along the way made bad investments, met people who claimed are friends yet just there to take advantage and the fear that eats into me late into the night of losing my ricebowl. Yet, I also found new friends who are there to back me up, oppprtunities to live the dream and receiving the education I can never learn from schools. Ive failed in my past 2 businesses and lost thousands along the way but I chose to make it a learning point and grow stronger along the way. Inspire Us and Hiiryu Motorsport are my 2 babies now and Im enjoying the journey and process of being able to taste success and soon being financially free while doing the things I love. I told myself the last thing I want to do is dreading sleep and dragging my butt off the bed every morning dreading the day I have to go through hating what I do in life. My dad started out selling sandwiches and through discipline and hardwork, became one of the men I look up to in life (it probably runs in our blood, dad ^^). Wake up everyday loving the things you do because not all education comes in the form of school rather it may come in many various forms. Dont get me wrong, education does build the foundation and opens up more options and opportunities.. but thats not the main ingredient for the success you want for yourself. I quote Richard Branson, Chairman of Virgin Group My biggest motivation? Just to keep challenging myself. I see life almost like one long university education I never had. Everyday Im learning something new.
