Back in my early days of ministry, I started what I thought was my dream job. At least, it’s what my college degree and church interns prepared me for. This was my golden ticket and I was not willing to lose it. I knew I was not the most talented or well-organized person. But I thought to myself, if I just get to the office early, punch-in and out real hard and make every week incredible in leading worship…I would be set. Trouble was, I was setup to fail. I spent more time worrying about my performance for God than my worship to God. Looking back, that road left me with a lot of scars and scrapes. A path that would always remind me that life is too short, family is too big, but ministry will always be there. The fact is, you work to live, not live to work. God has a plan for you, but sometimes we stand in the way not realizing that we create our own mess. How do you get out? It’s like being in the tire ruts of the hard dry ground - you gotta have God jerk the wheel of your life. #BranonDempsey Join us on the next Live Podcast :: The 5 Signs and Ways Episode 6-4-14 #WorshipTeamTrainingHangout NEXT WTT PODCAST: buff.ly/1m5phUj Episode 6-4-14 #WorshipTeamTrainingHangout Top 5 Signs and Ways to Prevent Burnout INVITE: buff.ly/1m5phUj Branon Dempsey, Tim Timmons, Tony Guerrero and Shawn ‘Swift’ Johnson.
