Bafana Bafana have assembled for the mini training camp ahead of the CAF Orange Africa Cup of Nations Equatorial Guinea 2015 tournament which starts next month. The training camp started on Friday, 26 December with 27 players of the 34-strong man squad reporting for national team duty in Johannesburg. All the overseas-based players have not arrived as they still have matches in their respective clubs. Ayanda Patosi, Anele Ngcongca, Andile Jali and Darren Keet – all from Belgium – are expected on Sunday (28 December), while Tokelo Rantie (England) will arrive on Monday (29 December). The duo of Thulani Serero (Netherlands) and Dean Furman (England) will not be part of the camp and will join the team in the New Year. Furman has matches over the festive period and is only expected in South Africa on Sunday, 4 January 2015, and could miss the warm up match against Zambia on the same day. Serero, who was not released by his club will join his compatriots on Friday, 2 January at the start of the pre-tournament camp. The 27 players in camp were taken for medical assessment in Pretoria on Saturday, 27 December as required for the tournament. On Sunday morning (28 December) Bafana Bafana will conduct their first training session on at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) Stadium near Brixton in Johannesburg. The session starts at 10h00. There will be more sessions on Monday (29 December) and Tuesday (30 December). Coach Shakes Mashaba and his technical team will trim the squad down to 23 players on Tuesday. In the tournament, South Africa has been drawn against Algeria, Senegal and Ghana
