As part of helping the fallen football icon’s Bafana teammates gain closure on the untimely and tragic death of their leader, the players will be allowed to visit the grave site where Senzo Meyiwa was buried, during their camp in Durban in preparation for the fixture against Sudan. Furthermore, a moment of silence will be observed for Meyiwa before that match, and players will be wearing black armbands in honour of the late Bafana skipper. Tickets will be selling at R80 and, the South African Football Assocation urged all South Africans to purchase their tickets early to avoid disappointment as this match will be a tribute for Senzo. “We want honour the legacy of Senzo “Nzori” Meyiwa and continue the work which he helped to start,” said SAFA Communications Manager, Dominic Chimhavi. “We plead to the supporters to buy their tickets and make it to the stadium on time to be part of the tribute to this fallen hero,” he added.
