Baltimore city residents, do you know about this city program aimed to helping you get rid of household hazards like antifreeze? The Citys Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program collects household hazardous waste at the Northwest Citizens Convenience Center, at 2840 Sisson St., just off the Jones Falls. Materials are acepted from April through October. Materials include automotive fluids such as antifreeze, transmission and power brake fluid, fungicides and herbicies, batteries, paint thinner, pool chemicals, and florescent light bulbs. Items not accepted include medical, commercial or industrial waste, gasolines, or acids. Leaking containers are also not accepted.
